Sony has launched three new Android devices in the Indian market - Sony Xperia P, U and Sola. Sony Xperia U sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and comes with 512 MB RAM. The internal memory of this smartphone is 8 GB and it is priced at Rs. 17,399.

Sony Xperia P on the other hand has a 4-inch TFT touchscreen and is priced at Rs 26,799. Other major specs include 1 GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel auto focus camera, internal phone storage of 16GB, and 1 GB RAM.

Sony Xperia Sola is the first Sony handset to come with a floating touch technology. Priced at Rs. 20,449, this is an NFC-ready smartphone. It has a 3.7-inch TFT touchscreen and runs on 1 GHz dual-core processor.

All three Sony handsets are running on Android 2.3 and the upgrade to Android 4.0 is on the cards. Sony is also offering 50 GB of free cloud storage for life with these newly launched Xperia devices.

Sony has indicated that it plans to focus solely on its smartphones business, and is planning to phase out its feature phones by end of September 2012.
