We recently heard about Samsung's rumoured upcoming 'A series' of smartphones, said to launch in three models - SM-A300, SM-A500, and SM-A700. The report had also tipped the purported specifications of the SM-A500, claiming it to be the first handset to launch in the new A Series. On Friday, one of the other rumoured smartphones, the SM-A300, has been tipped with benchmark specifications.

According to Sammobile report, the purported specifications of the SM-A300 are listed on GFXBench under the model name SM-A3000. It is listed to feature a 4.8-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display; a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm (ARM v7) processor; Adreno 306 GPU; 1GB of RAM; 7-megapixel rear camera; 4.7-megapixel front-facing camera; 8GB internal storage and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Previously, Sammobile had tipped the SM-A300 device for a qHD (540x960 pixels) display.

So far, all three devices - the SM-A300, SM-A500, and SM-A700 - are rumoured to feature a design similar to the recently launched metal-clad Galaxy Alpha by Samsung.

Last week, the report about the rumoured SM-A500 had suggested it to have a full metal body design and no removable back cover. It was also reported to feature a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) Super AMOLED display; a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor; an 8-megapixel rear camera; 5-megapixel front camera; 16GB of built-in storage, and a 2,330mAh battery.

The report also claimed that the SM-A500 will come with a hybrid card slot, which will accommodate both a microSD card and a Nano-SIM card. Additionally, the smartphone was reported to have fingerprint and heart rate sensors, but not be dust or water-resistant. However, it is said to feature a version of the Ultra Power Saving Mode seen on the Galaxy S5.
