Leaks and rumours surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ continue to surface the Web with reports revealing the specifications and features of the smartphones. The leaks come alongside reports that the two smartphones are due to launch on August 12.

According to the latest report by Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is "confirmed" to sport 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. This would make the smartphone the company's first to feature 4GB of RAM. Notably, the Asus ZenFone 2 also comes with 4GB of RAM. Also, OnePlus 2 is confirmed to house the same amount and type of RAM.

Also mentioned is the inclusion of Exynos 7422 processor, which is said to be Samsung's first true single-chip solution (ePOP) with an integrated 64-bit octa-core CPU, GPU, RAM, storage and the Shanon 333 4G LTE modem. The report also cites company insiders to claim the Galaxy Note 5 will come without a microSD card slot, just like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Said to feature the same design profile as the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy Note 5 would bear a thin screen bezel. As for the S Pen, the stylus would also see minor design change and would look more like a pen. It would also have the same colour as the handset - Silver, Gold, Black, White, same colour variants seen on Galaxy Note 4.

The Galaxy S6 Edge+ is said to be the large-screen variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge, and could also be considered the dual-edge display version of the Galaxy Note 5. It is said to arrive in the same colour variants like the Note 5. The handset is said to be powered by the same Exynos 7420 processor instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, which was rumoured last month.

Another report by GSMArena shows the dimensions of the two devices via some image renders. The details come from case maker company ITSKINS. The renders suggest the Galaxy Note 5 to feature s Galaxy S6-like design as mentioned above. Also hinted is that the Galaxy Note 5 might lose its removable battery option, as with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. As per the case maker, the flagship phablet will measure 153.3x76.1x7.9mm, which indicates a 5.7-inch display. Also tipped was the lack of USB Type-C connectivity on the handset.

A second set of renders by ITSKINS show the Galaxy S6 Edge+ dimensions to be 154.4x75.8x6.9mm. A camera bump can also be seen in the images.

Meanwhile, the existence of the large-screen variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge, or the dual-edge display variant of the Galaxy Note 5, has been supposedly confirmed by Samsung itself. The confirmation comes from Samsung's own FAQ page which talks about the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge's front-facing camera and the OIS causing floating lens effect. The page was found to include reference to two as-yet-unreleased smartphones namely SM-N920 and SM-925F.

It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 4 Edge came with model numbers SM-910, and SM-915 respectively. The code however, offers no other details on the smartphones. What also can be made out from the page is that the Galaxy Note 5 models are likely to feature 5-megapixel front-facing cameras.
