Apart from Eluga Ray 500, which was earlier spotted on Flipkart, Panasonic Eluga Ray 700 has also been listed on the website in India. Interestingly, while the highlight feature on the less expensive Eluga Ray 500 was its dual camera setup at the back, the Panasonic Eluga Ray 700 houses a large 5000mAh battery and a full-HD display. The Eluga Ray 700 listing on Flipkart suggests that the smartphone will be made available for purchase at Rs. 9,999 and that the sale for the handset will start from September 21 from 12am. The handset currently carries a 'coming soon' tag on the website. Both smartphones will be officially launched at an event in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Diving straight into the specifications, the dual-SIM Panasonic Eluga 700 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and sports a 5.5-inch HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS On Cell display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM.

In terms of optics, unlike the dual rear cameras on the Panasonic Eluga Ray 500, the Eluga Ray 700 comes with a single 13-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.0 aperture and tagged with LED flash. At front as well, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel shooter, tagged with flash, for taking selfies.

The Panasonic Eluga 700 comes with 32GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 measures 153.75x75.35x8.9mm and weighs 182 grams. The connectivity options offered by the handset include 4G VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass, and fingerprint sensor embedded in home button.
