Panasonic has launched its first smartphone with 4G support in India, the Eluga L 4G, priced at Rs. 12,990. The smartphone will be available in India via both online and offline retail stores.

The Panasonic Eluga L 4G runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and supports dual-SIM (4G+3G). The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM. It features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with OGS. The smartphone sports Corning Gorilla Glass on front and rear panels.

It sports an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and, while it also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone includes 8GB of inbuilt storage that is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Apart from 4G network support, connectivity options on the Eluga L 4G includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and 3G. The company touts that the smartphone sports a thickness of 6.1mm. Unfortunately, there is no word on battery capacity on the smartphone. The Panasonic Eluga L 4G will be available in Radiant Blue colour.

Commenting on the launch, Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India said "Panasonic India has now signalled a big leap in its product portfolio by bringing better specifications and features in the newly launched Eluga L which not only caters to the fast developing technological needs in the market but is also priced reasonably. With the company's recent success in the smartphones category and the mobility landscape rapidly evolving today, the new device will surely match the needs of our fast evolving consumers in the country."
