HMD Global's first Nokia-branded smartphone was the Nokia 6 which was also popular as the comeback smartphone for the legendary Finnish brand. Now, a new detail about the global Nokia 6 smartphone has been revealed, and it's said to miss out on notification LED light in its global variants.

After several user queries, HMD Global can be said to have confirmed that the global variant of the Nokia 6 misses out on notification LED. A Nokia Mobile support team representative told Nokiamob, "About the removal of LED from the global version, please be aware that in regards to global markets, due to specific research, a decision has been made about the removal of the LED."

The Nokia team further added that the Nokia 6 international variants with model number TA-1033, TA-1039, TA-1021, and TA-1025 do not support LED notifications. It is yet to be known whether the feature was removed or has been disabled by the company.

Earlier this month, Nokia delayed the launch of the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones in the UK. The two smartphones were first supposed to launch this month, but are being said to launch in August.

Keeping its promise of releasing timely security and software updates for its smartphones, HMD Global reportedly released the July Android security update over-the-air (OTA) to Nokia 6 users in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Google started rolling out the latest monthly security update for its Nexus and Pixel devices on Wednesday.

In India, the Nokia 6 has been launched at Rs. 14,999. The Nokia 6 registrations for the first sale will start on July 14, but the company has not announced when the smartphone will go on sale.

Refreshing on specifications, the Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The dual-SIM Nokia 6 smartphone comes with a 3000mAh non-removable battery with fast-charging support. On the camera front, Nokia 6 comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera as well as an 8-megapixel front camera. The Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone has a fingerprint sensor in the front, stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio enhancement.
