Lenovo has launched three new S-series smartphones, dubbed Lenovo S660, S850 and S860, at the sidelines of MWC 2014 in Barcelona.

The Chinese giant has announced that the new S-series Android smartphone will be available starting June 2014. The Lenovo S860 has been priced at $349 (Rs. 21,700 approximately), the Lenovo S850 at $269 (Rs. 16,700 approximately) and the Lenovo S660 at $229 (Rs. 14,250 approximately).

Notably, the three new S-series smartphones run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and support dual-SIM functionality.

The Lenovo S660 features a 4.7-inch IPS qHD (540x960 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and also packs a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone includes 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options on the Lenovo S660 include Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth and 3G.

The Lenovo S850 comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display and boasts an all-glass exterior available in Pink and White colours. The S850 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor alongside 1GB of RAM. The highlight of the Lenovo S850 is its camera: a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

Lastly, the Chinese manufacturer launched the S860, which much like Lenovo P780 boasts of a 4000mAh battery. It features a 5.3-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display and dual front speakers. The Lenovo S860 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB inbuilt storage, while there is no word on expandable storage.

Commenting on the launch, Liu Jun, executive vice president, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo said, "The new S860, S850 and S660 smartphones perfectly complement the full range of mobile devices available to consumers around the world, letting consumers easily pick the Lenovo smartphone that's right for them. Customers told us they wanted a great user experience without sacrificing performance, so we built these new smartphones for style, blazing fast processing speeds, and integrated Lenovo apps."

Lenovo also unveiled the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona.
