Intex has launched a new budget Aqua-series smartphone, the Aqua Star II HD, priced at Rs. 6,590. The smartphone will be available across India via offline and online stores.

The Intex Aqua Star II HD is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera also on board. The Aqua Star II HD rear camera features scene detection, face recognition, panorama, geo-tagging, best shot, smile shot, and HDR options.

On the connectivity front, the Intex Aqua Star II HD offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time, and up to 250 hours of standby time. It measures 142x71.5x8.95mm and will be available in Champagne, Silver, White, and Grey colours.
