Right after the unveiling of Android 5.0 Lollipop last week, HTC had confirmed on Twitter that four of its smartphones will be receiving an update to Android Lollipop.

The HTC devices scheduled to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop includes the HTC One, also referred to as the One (M7); the HTC One (M8); the HTC One mini, and the HTC One mini 2.

While HTC didn't give an exact time frame for the update, a report by LlabTooFeR on Sunday claims that HTC will be rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to more devices than the Taiwanese company had announced. The report also suggests that some devices are still under evaluation, and that there is high possibility that they won't get update.

Replying to users on Twitter, HTC had said that the One and One (M8) will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop update within 90 days of receiving the final software from Google. The LlabTooFeR report suggests that the timeframe for Google Play Edition (GPE) of these devices, One and One (M8), is late November-December, while the normal HTC Sense-based variants will get their updates in January-February.

According to the report, the other HTC devices that will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update are the recently launched HTC Desire Eye, HTC One (M8) Dual SIM, HTC One (M7) Dual SIM, HTC One (E8), HTC One (E8) Dual SIM, and HTC Butterfly 2, all of which should receive the update sometime between January and March.

The HTC One mini 2 and Desire 816 are claimed to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in March or April, and the HTC One Max, HTC One mini, and HTC Butterfly S are also said to be in-line to receive the update between March and May.

The report further notes that the other Desire devices with MediaTek chipsets are also under evaluation, but there is no specific timeframe for them as yet.
