Ever since Google acquired Motorola, rumours about the Moto X smartphone have been doing the rounds.

The usually trustable @evleaks has now revealed the specifications of the much awaited Moto X smartphone. The leak came like all other reports from @evleaks in the form of a tweet.

According to the tweet, the phone will come with a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960 processor alongside 2GB of RAM. The phone is expected to come with a 720p resolution display and 16GB of internal storage. The leaks also specifies a 10-megapixel rear shooter and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. It is expected to run Android 4.2.2.

The phone was recently confirmed by Motorola after it announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in the United States. The facility will produce the first smartphone assembled in the US - Motorola's new flagship device, Moto X. The announcement also came with the information that the Moto X will go on sale this summer.

Earlier the device had also appeared on AnTuTu benchmarks but those hints of a quad-core processor don't seem to match what @evleaks has to say. The phone has also been rumoured to come with a 4.8-inch display.

If the revealed specifications are true, one thing that is apparent is that we might not be looking at a high-end flagship device.
