Gionee has launched the Elife E5 smartphone in India.
Gionee Elife E5 features a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone comes with 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor along with 1GB of RAM. Gionee Elife E5 comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded through a microSD card.
For camera there is an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash. The rear camera is also capable of recording videos in 1080pixel. Gionee Elife E5 also comes with a 5-megapixel front facing snapper.
The connectivity options for the Gionee Elife E5 include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2,000mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean)
Gionee Elife E5 carries a retail tag of Rs. 19,999 and will be available in Yellow, Black and White colour options.
The Chinese smartphone maker is also planning to launch Gionee Elife E6 smartphone on July 10 in Beijing. The company has been teasing the launch of this smartphone on Facebook for a while. Gionee Elife E6 will come with 1.5GHz quad-core processor and sport a 5.0-inch 'Retina' display.
Gionee Elife E5 will be competing head on with the recently launched Micromax Canvas 4 and Karbonn Titanium S9 smartphones.
