Celkon, after launching the Millennia Xplore smartphone in India earlier this week, on Thursday introduced the Millennia 2GB Xpress, priced at Rs. 6,222.

The highlight of the Celkon Millennia 2GB Xpress smartphone at the price-point is the inclusion of 2GB of RAM, alongside smart commands with Smart Assistant and a Power Saving Mode. The Celkon Millennia 2GB Xpress is a dual-SIM (GSM-GSM) handset that features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display.

The Android 4.4 KitKat-based smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset), and sports a 5-megapixel BSI1 autofocus rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera also on board. The Millennia 2GB Xpress comes with 16GB inbuilt storage, and can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Celkon's Millennia 2GB Xpress supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and GPS connectivity options. Measuring 133.5 x 66.5 x 10.1mm, the handset weighs 134 grams and is backed by a 1500mAh battery. "The Celkon Millennia 2GB Xpress offers a combination of Smart Commands, Smart Assistant and Smart Power Saving Mode along with 2GB RAM & 16GB ROM. It will offer a unique user experience on par with the best in the market. We have many such exciting offerings lined up for the year to help us cross the 1 million customers a month mark," said Y Guru, chairman and director, Celkon Mobiles during the launch.

Looking at the specifications and the price, the Millennia 2GB Xpress goes head-to-head with Celkon Millennia Xplore. While the Millennia Xplore features better camera, larger battery and display, the Millennia 2GB Xpress comes with double the RAM and inbuilt storage space.
