Google
at its annual I/O Developer Conference revealed that it is now
activating a million new Android devices every day, which is a whopping
150% increase from 400,000 activations in 2011.
In addition, the
company also stated that there are over 400 million Android devices in
consumer hands right now. This figure was just around 100 million in

have showed maximum growth, Google commented that Android has grown
200-300 percent in markets like Japan, South Korea and France. While the
emerging markets like India, Brazil, Thailand and Indonesia showed even
more growth at around 500 percent.
