Not Really a great phone
By Usman Kamili | 31 May 2014
Micromax came up with a music phone called Canvas music or A88 , its a dual sim phone . The phone comes with a 1 Ghz dual core mediatak processor with 512 mb of Ram with Android 4.1 Jellybean . The internal memory of the phone is about 4 gb out of which 1.93 gb is available to the user and 503 mb for applications and the memory can be extended up to 32gb . The phone display has a 4.5 inch display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels . The phone of supports a 5 megapixel camera at the rear and has a 0.3 megapixel camera at the front . The battery on the device is 1800mAh which should be good enough . Here are pros and cons of the device. Pros: 1. Really good for listening to music . 2. Comes with a free JBL headset which of good quality . 3. Camera is good under daylight . 4. Has good gaming capabilities. Cons: 1. The phone has serious memory issues , after 5 hours use phone cannot run apps it just force closes the apps and takes lot of time to open them. 2. The display is just awful , very bad viewing angles . 3. After 5 - 6 hours use cannot play games on the device it force closes them. 4. Front camera is useless . There is zero brightness in the front camera . 5. Video calling is awful , the recipient cannot hear a word you have to plug in earphones for video calling. 6. Battery backup is not great considering it has a 1800 mAh battery , does not last the full day on an average use . 7. There is no software update option . If I have to rate the out of 10 , I would give it 5 simply because of its music capabilities . This phone for those who want to listen to good music and do not install too many apps or games on the device .
