HP India has announced the launch of Officejet Pro Black & White 3610 and 3620 of all-in-one inkjet printers that aim to offer 'laser-like quality and performance'.

As the name suggests, Officejet Pro Black & White series differs from regular inkjet printers in that they ship with Black ink only. With these printers, HP is aiming to target customers who rely on laser toner refills in a bid to keep the running costs down. HP shared findings of a research that said 24 percent of refilled laser printer cartridges produced inconsistent print results such as black spots, black stains and black lines. HP says the running costs of the Officejet Pro Black & White series of printers is comparable to those of 'laser toner refills', minus the compromises associated with it.

Commenting on the launch of the new series of printers, Nitin Hiranandani, Director, Printing Systems, PPS, HP said, "We at HP continue to advance inkjet innovation to help businesses succeed. The latest HP Officejet Pro 3610/ 3620 Black & White series features high print quality and reliability that offers businesses peace of mind at a very low cost."

The HP Officejet Pro 3610 and 3620 Black & White all-in-one printers come with features such as auto-duplex printing, built-in Ethernet, ePrint and support for AirPrint. While HP Officejet Pro 3610 comes with print, scan and copy capabilities, the 3620 has additional features like fax and Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).

HP Officejet Pro 3610 and HP Officejet Pro 3620 are now available carrying a price tag of Rs. 7,999 and Rs. 11,999 respectively.

HP also unveiled the "world's fastest" Officejet Pro X500 series of printers at the same event.
