Pinterest, back in June, introduced buyable Pins on iPhone and iPad. The company on Tuesday started rolling out the feature to its Android app. Pinterest, an online bulletin board-style service, also announced its brand new Shop, where users can browse through collections hand-picked by the company.

The buyable Pins will be available to Android users in the US. The company in a blog post confirmed that it has over 60 million buyable Pins to choose from.

The company explaining how users can buy products inside Pinterest notes that if a product is listed with a Pin in Blue colour with price tag that means users can buy it. Pinterest also claimed that it will review and approve every seller on its platform.

The Pinterest Shop will start rolling out in next couple of weeks, according to the company and will be available on both the Android and iPhone apps.

Pinterest has listed names of some of the brands that are already available via its brand new Shop such as Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, The Citizenry, and Heist.

Back in September, Pinterest claimed over 100 million users used its online bulletin board-style service. Pinterest Co-Founder Evan Sharp had also claimed that out of the 100 million users, over 70 percent were active users. The co-founder had also revealed that the service had majority women users.

Based on the last figures released by Pinterest, the service was well short of other popular social services such as Instagram, now owned by Facebook, which claimed over 300 million users.
