Blizzard seems to be on a roll. Not content with launching new games like Overwatch or expansions to its long-running massively online multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG) World of WarCraft, the company has turned its gaze to its older games.

Hot on the heels of Diablo II getting an update for OS X and Windows 10, the company has announced that 2002's WarCraft III is getting an update as well. The announcement comes from Blizzard Classic Games lead Robert Bridenbecker in a YouTube video posted by dedicated WarCraft III casters, Back2Warcraft. The update, dubbed 1.27, will be available worldwide on Tuesday.

"Thank you very much for your support over the past decade, playing Warcraft III," he said. "Over the past few months, you may have noticed we have introduced a new battle platform. It's introduced features like matchmaking [and] the ability to communicate with your friends at a level that is unparalleled to anything we have done with Warcraft III in the market before. And on top of that, we're proud to announce that on March 15, the next patch for Warcraft III will be available in the market, simultaneously with the rest of the globe."

Blizzard has not said what exactly will be included in the patch, though a second video from Back2Warcraft claims that balance tweaks might be a part of it. Bridenbecker stated that this won't be the last update to the game, with more updates planned for the future. What they entail though, has not been specified.
