Whether or not Half-Life 3 will ever see the light of the day, Half-Life 2 will probably come soon to the portable Android-based gaming console Nvidia Shield.

An Android Central report confirms this news on Thursday after the blog received a green coloured crowbar in office which references the main character from the ultra-popular game - 'What Would Gordon Do'. This text is flanked by the Nvidia Shield and Half-life logos.

The same blog reported that Portal, a first-person puzzle-based game title that features a series of puzzles solved by using a 'portal gun' to teleport the player or other objects and was announced by Valve and Nvidia as due for the Shield console, will hit Tegrazone on Google Play on May 12 with a price tag of $9.99 (approximately Rs. 540).

Both the games, developed by Valve, are revered by gamers worldwide. This could give the Shield a much-needed boost in sales and increase in fan base. Recently, we also reported that Nvidia might announce a device called the Shield 2 after the alleged Tegra K1-based device was spotted on AnTuTu benchmark results online.

In other news, Nvidia also announced a price cut and updates to the Shield gaming console. Now priced at $199, the Shield will soon receive an update to Android 4.4, as well as new GameStream features that allow remote streaming over the Internet, support for laptop GPUs, and support for Bluetooth keyboards and mice for games that don't work as well with a console-style controller. We managed to play with the device after the update and came away impressed. Read our review.
